Business Background

Indian Foods Private Limited (IFPL) was formed in June 1980 by Shri. S. Muthuvale and his two sons Shri. M. Dhinagaravale and Shri. M. S. Sundaravel.

The Company set up in 1980-82 a production facility in Sivagangai District near Tiruppuvanam Town on Rameshwaram Highway [NH-49] for the manufacture of biscuits.

From 1987, IFPL is associated with Britannia Industries Limited (BIL) for manufacture of biscuits on conversion basis. In our association spanning more than three decades, we have manufactured varieties like Good Day, Marie, Milk Bikis, Bourbon, Cream Treats, Tiger Glucose, Tiger Brita. Currently, IFPL’s Biscuit Manufacturing Division manufactures two leading varieties Milk Bikis and Brita.

IFPL has a well-trained work force who maintain very high standard of manufacturing excellence. In 2016, BIL conducted an one-time competition on basis of quality and flavor among all factories manufacturing Milk Bikis. IFPL was the winner in both categories.

A new Bakery and Food Industry Service Division was formed in April 1994. IFPL represented more than 25 European and US Companies in India. In 1997, IFPL started Creative Baked Foods Division to manufacture and market Ruskrolls under own brands – viz., Sidekick, Chocokick, Tea-time Friend etc.

The Company completed the process of de-merger with effect from 01st April 2014, with the businesses of Bakery and Food Industry Service and Creative Baked Foods hived off as new resultant company by name Indian Foods Innovations P Ltd.

The Biscuit Manufacturing remains with Indian Foods Private Limited.
